Diversity Dialogues: The Impact of Unconscious Bias on Social Progress

Having Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) advocates that are well-informed about D&I objectives has arguably never been more important than it is today.  Equally important is the courage for introspection.  This timely session is intended to provide participants with critical awareness tools to help them navigate the challenges and impacts of bias-related behaviors. An experienced panel of diversity and inclusion specialists will lead an engaging session to advance constructive dialogue for creating more inclusive organizations.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the numerous references associated with bias, e.g., “unconscious” “implicit” and determine how similar terms and behaviors influence diversity and inclusion advancements.
  • Examine the current thought leadership for implementing effective diversity and inclusion platforms.
  • Explore practical strategies and considerations for balancing the realities and complexities of bias.
