National Capital Philanthropy Day
AFP DC will celebrate it's Annual National Capital Philanthropy Day (NCPD) at the Newseum on Monday, November 13th, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Philanthropy Day is an annual celebration of philanthropy that recognizes local philanthropists for impacts on the philanthropic and nonprofit community. Mark your calendars!
Young Professionals Affinity Group: Days of Service
November 1 and November 8, 2017
As part of AFP DC's National Capital Philanthropy Day, a celebration of philanthropy and fundraising in the nation's capital, you are invited to volunteer with YPAG to give back to our local community. We will gather together with graduates of DC Central Kitchen’s Culinary Job Training program to prep the evening meal for DC Central Kitchen on two nights:

Please note: No cooking or food service experience is required. Activities will include cutting, chopping and/or peeling food. Volunteers should wear closed toed shoes, long sleeves, and long pants (tights and leggings are unfortunately not permitted). Shoes with high-grip soles are highly recommended.
All volunteers will be recognized during AFP DC's National Capital Philanthropy Day luncheon on Monday, November 13th, at the Newseum. Volunteers are also encouraged to attend the luncheon event to be recognized for their service to the community and meet leading fundraising professionals and philanthropists from the Washington D.C. area.
