February 22,2017 “Black History Month Reception”- The AFP DC African-American Affinity Group celebrated Black History Month with a networking reception and event featuring special guests recognized as Trailblazers in the Development Profession.

December 7, 2016 - “Holiday Ugly Sweater Party with a Purpose”- Joint networking social with AFP DC African American Affinity Group and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Multicultural Advancement Professionals (MAP). Party will benefit a local non-profit organization.  Attendees are asked to wear their UGLIEST holiday sweater and bring an unwrapped toy for a child in need. (Prizes will be awarded throughout the event.)
